In November, just before I travelled to Iceland, I received a very special parcel from https://orendabooks.co.uk/
It was the first proof copies of my debut novel Crow Moon, which will be published on March 14th 2024. After years of drafting, rewrites, edits and submissions, getting to hold your actual book in your hands is an experience like no other. Soon after, I was sent a list of links to audio files with the voices of people who might narrate the audiobook - a mind blowing experience to think an actor will soon be bringing my words off the page and into the soundscape.
Proof copies have been sent to authors, bloggers and reviewers ahead of publication and while the first time author nerves (and inner imposter) are simmering away, it's been astonishing how much love and support this author and her story have gathered. I had my first five star review and even a Pinterest mood board made by someone who loves crows and the moon as much as I do!
